Daughters of the Sea (Les Filles de la Mer), is a show that crosses the boundaries between theatre, contemporary dance and performance.

Les Filles de la mer is a stage writing project about four women from different parts of the globe (Asia, Africa and Europe), from different cultures, with different histories, who, for different reasons, migrate. Their paths cross in France in a story of rape and murder.

The sea is the common element in these singular lives. The notion of insularity, both geographical and symbolic, is a key element in the dramaturgy.

From space to movement, our other research element focuses on the notion of real or dreamed departure, the migratory movement of souls. Migrating, moving from one point to another, a direction linking different inspirations, all converging towards a possible Other. From self to Other, a quest for identity, society and culture at the most intimate level.
